IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Requests for ERAP application verification documentation must be submitted no less than two (2) weeks from the court date scheduled. Any documentation provided by the County of Ocean is predicated upon the timeliness of the request. As such, any tenant, non-profit, advocate or court liaison wishing to receive this information must provide at minimum of two (2) weeks notice.

Requests will ONLY be processed for tenants with a scheduled court hearing, that can be verified upon inquiry, for eviction proceedings.

FOR AGENCIES ACTING ON BEHALF OF TENANTS

If an agency is requesting this documentation on behalf of a tenant, a signed release of information agreement MUST be attached at the time of their request. Download here.

ERAP APPLICATION NUMBER

Please ensure the ERAP case number you enter is correct for an application that was submitted to the County of Ocean.

The County of Ocean is unable to verify the status of any application not specifically submitted to the County of Ocean for ERAP 1 or ERAP 2.

Several COVID specific relief initiatives have accepted applications through community non-profit organizations and the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs for rental arrears.

The County of Ocean bears no responsibility regarding the verification of applications made with separate entities. 

REQUIRED CONSENT TO REQUEST AND RECEIVE INFORMATION ON BEHALF OF A TENANT

As a representative of a tenant/applicant, an executed Consent to Release/Share Information must be submitted as a PDF attachement. Download the form here. Once the form is signed by all consenting entities, upload the form below.

Applications submitted by anyone acting on behalf of a tenant that do not include a signed and uploaded consent will not be processed.

By submitting this request, you attest or agree to the following:

1.  The tenant (or client) has a scheduled court hearing for eviction proceedings for which ERAP verifification documentation is requested and that this court date can be oficially verified upon inquiry.
2. The County of Ocean is unable to verify the status of any application not specifically submitted to the County of Ocean for ERAP 1 or ERAP 2 funding. Several COVID specific relief initiatives have accepted applications through community non-profit organizations and the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs for rental arrears. 3. Your request is two (2) weeks in advance of a scheduled court hearing for eviction proceedings.
4. For a representative acting on behalf of a tenant/applicant, an appropriately executed Consent for the Release/Share Information Agreement has been attached detailing all necessary elements, per the instructions provided in this form, granting permission to obtain the information sought.
